A variety of programs are offered for groups and settings, large and small, for children and adults, and can be held in or outdoors at your site.

- Mileage fees: No fee for destinations under 40 miles roundtrip. For those 41+ miles, a $50 fee is charged.

General Public Presentations – events, community centers
Host IREEC at your library or other community site for one-of-a-kind programs, including 3 to 4 live animals and bio facts to touch and examine, such as feathers, turtle shells and more. These programs are suitable for adults and children ages 6 and up. Choose from these topics:
Hunters of the Sky – live raptors; natural history; adaptations; conservation measures
Awesome Owls – live owls; natural history; adaptations; conservation measures
Amazing Animal Adaptations – live raptors, reptiles and/or other animal; features for survival; conservation measures
Pennsylvania Wildlife – live raptors, reptiles and/or other animal; highlighting some PA wildlife species and threats to them, roles in local ecosystems, conservation measures
Reptile Encounters – live snakes and turtles; natural history; adaptations; conservation measures
Nature Walk – live animal program followed by a guided walk through your site’s woodlands, fields or other natural areas to learn about the ecology and how your community can protect its natural areas
*Owl Encounters & Night Walk – live owls program including natural history, adaptations and conservation measures, followed by night walk to call for owls
**Interactive Exhibit – educational booth with informal, live animal talks, display of feathers, shells and more for guests to touch and explore, informational handouts, buttons for sale (optional)**

Nature’s Little Explorers Programs – at libraries, community centers
These classes are designed to teach children ages 3 through 5, and their caregivers more about wildlife and nature in their communities. Each class includes interactive learning with items such as puppets and visuals, as well as live animals, items to touch, a story, and a take-home activity.
Programs are offered for a season or throughout the year, and are geared towards the general public, and held at libraries or other community centers. Contact us to discuss topics and details.
30 minutes = $225 for one program; discount for 2 or more during one season.
Maximum 20 children.



Birthday Parties – Animal Meet and Greet
Host some special visitors for your next birthday party – for children or adults!
A meet and greet includes 3 live animals, learning about their natural history, habitats and fun facts, and bio facts such as feathers, to touch and examine.
35 minutes = $225. Maximum number of participants based on setting.



Boy and Girl Scout Groups
Programs travel to your location and content can be based on program topics listed in “General Public Presentations” section or on Scout badge requirements. Programs can include live animals, natural items to touch and examine, and nature walks. Contact us to discuss.
Fees vary based on program content, and range from $225 to $300.
Maximum number of participants based on setting.



Summer Camp Groups – Animal Encounters
Add a unique touch to your summer camp with a visit from live animals! Presentations are suitable for campers ages 1 to elementary level.
Each fun and educational program includes age-appropriate vocabulary and content, features 3 to 4 live animals, puppets, and items to see and touch such as feathers and shells.
- 20 minutes for ages 1 to 2/3 / 30 minutes for ages 3 and up
First program = $225 / Additional, same-day programs = $95 each
Maximum 50 children per program, 25 or less is recommended.
Maximum of 4 programs per visit.



School and Homeschool Groups
Designed to aid in meeting STEELS standards for environmental and natural sciences, these fun and educational, cross-curricular programs will enhance students learning and create memorable experiences!
Each program includes age-appropriate vocabulary and content, features 3 to 4 live animals, items to see and touch such as feathers, shells and more; and utilizes visuals and demonstrations to learn different concepts.
TOPICS FOR PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN AND 1ST GRADE:
- Wildlife Detectives – live owl, reptiles and/or other animal; puppets; feathers and shell to touch; using our senses as discovery tools to explore the natural world
- Claws, Scales and Tails – live snakes and turtles; shells and sheds to touch; reptile characteristics
- Animals of the Night – live owl, spider, other animal; puppets; feathers and sheds to touch; story; features of nocturnal animals that help them survive
35 minutes = $225 / Additional, same-day programs = $95 each
Maximum 70 children per program, 35 or less is recommended.

- *What is a Watershed? – learn about the land-water connection through hands-on activities, where students discover how water becomes polluted, how to prevent such pollution, and conserve local water resources.
- *Stream or Pond Study (body of water at site required) – Assess the health of your community’s aquatic habitats through collection and study of aquatic life, and discussion and demonstrations on water pollution causes and prevention.
45 minutes = $300 / Additional, same-day programs = $100 each
Maximum 80 students per program, 50 or less is recommended.

After School Nature Discovery Club – at schools or community centers
Club engages children’s curiosity of the natural world through nature discovery walks, live animals, activities, stories and crafts.
Recommended for children in grades 2 and 3, Club is generally held weekly, for 1.5 hours after school, for at least 4 sessions during a season, and limited to 10 participants per season. Contact us to discuss topics, fees and further details.
